Celtic Thunder at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall
Celtic Thunder is an Irish vocal group known for combining traditional folk, Celtic anthems and international pop standards in theatrical concert productions. Created by producer Sharon Browne and originally conceived by Phil Coulter, the group made its debut in 2007. Its rotating lineup of Irish male singers has brought the music to audiences around the world, while PBS specials helped build a devoted following in the United States.
The group's performances pair powerful vocals with dramatic lighting, Irish-inspired costumes and storytelling rooted in Irish heritage. Songs associated with its repertoire include “Danny Boy,” “Caledonia,” “Galway Girl” and “The Last Rose of Summer.” Albums such as Mythology, Legacy and Voyage reflect the group's range, from traditional material to contemporary arrangements. Celtic Thunder has also presented productions including its Heritage and Mythology tours.

Celtic Thunder Sarasota reviews
Mike Epps
"The show overall was aight. I went to see Mike, not them other folks. The opening acts were good but Celtic Thunder was only ok. Epps was on stage about as long as his opening acts. The problem I had with the show was I felt like they shortened their routine to get us out and get the other people in for the 10pm show. I didn't go to see them other folks I went to see Mike. I have roasting sessions with my guys that last longer than his act. I went to the 7pm show and I felt like it wasn't long enough. I will never buy Celtic Thunder tickets again!"
